THE JOURNEY

I've recently started to learn about women's empowerment and was fascinated by its depth. I fell in love with the idea that embracing our cyclicity could allow us a lighter and more fluid life, a life that's understanding of our natural movements.

So, to me, it became urgent to spread this knowledge and make other women aware of the power we all have.

As someone connected to the arts, I decided to transfer my painting skills, formerly exercised in Margarida Atelier, from the canvases to the textiles. The fruit of this dive into the feminine world is a collection of four pieces that represent each stage of a woman's cycle.

The inspiration for the name came from an enlightened moment with a friend and from the book Women Who Run with the Wolves. LA QUE SABE means the one who knows, the wise woman, a woman who understands her nature and wants to know herself.

Group of six women sitting and kneeling outdoors on a yellow ledge, smiling and relaxed, under trees with a house behind them, during daylight.

“LA QUE SABE WAS BORN FROM A PERSONAL DISCOVERY OF ANCIENT FEMININE KNOWLEDGE. NOW, IT HAS BECOME A STORY THAT STARTS WITH ME AND FLOWS INTO OTHER WOMEN'S LIVES.”

Why the name?

It was a beautiful day at the beach, and a great friend of mine was with me, I told her about the project that I had in mind, I was for the first time the I was saying to someone else, and explained what I envisioned, then she looked at me with eyes of excitement and enthusiasm!

That same day I had bought a book about the internal power of women that she already read, and so spontaneously, she says: I already know the name of your brand, took my book, flipped through a few pages, and said, THIS IS IT! LA QUE SABE, she explained that LA QUE SABE is the name given to old wise women in the old times, who knew everything about women, and I felt it made perfect sense.

Quality not quantity

We must work around these limitations and focus on the production of long-lasting clothes, by choosing solutions to minimize their impact on the environment.

Fabrics that contain synthetic materials such as polyester and nylon contribute to microplastic pollution, which can end up in the ocean. They are petroleum-based products, unlike natural fibers such as silk, which are recyclable biodegradable, and renewable.

In spite of its delicate appearance, silk is a strong and durable fabric, which when cared for correctly can last for a long time.

Welcome to a reconnection with your womanhood.
