I painted this series while reading Kelly Grovier's "The Art of Color", and it changed everything about how I saw the canvas. Chromatic Garden Studies came out of that obsession with color relationships, inspired by Monet's water gardens in Giverny. I wanted to feel the garden more than paint it, layering golds, tangerines, and crimsons against fields of sage, deep green, and soft blue, letting complementary pairs do the work of light. Each piece is improvised, a conversation between colors, I was falling in love with.

Meadowdream came from a need to paint stillness. Gentle greens and soft blues build slowly across the canvas, layered with small textural details that emerge like grass, light, and air moving together.
